join us for a free, community-centered evening of honest conversation, reflection, and connection. We’ll begin by hearing from local speakers as they share personal experiences of racism in the Bow Valley. these are not theoretical, not far away, but here, where we live.
after the speakers, we’ll shift into a brave space for white and non-racialized folks to reflect on how racism shows up in everyday conversations, questions, and behaviours.. even when we don’t mean it to. Co-facilitated by Makaylah Rogers and Cheryl Fraser, this space will unpack white fragility, unconscious bias, and the importance of listening without defensiveness.
expect vulnerability, expect discomfort, and of course donuts. this isn’t about blame, it’s about impact. and it’s about choosing to listen, learn, and shift.
